It’s not just the date that’s reversed! This year the Sang-Froid Riding Club's "Season Opener" leaves from way down south ... Springfield, Oregon, to be exact. On Saturday, September 7th, you'll ride NORTH with us all day on great roads, leaving Gray Area KTM in Springfield at 8:30 a.m. that morning. It'll be a full day of riding; expect to return to Portland sometime after 6 p.m. that evening.
As always, the ride is FREE.
We appreciate it's a long way to go to the ride start, but trust us, it'll be worth it! Bite the bullet and come ride ... there's plenty of time the weekend after to study for that exam / clean the gutters / punch the clown / etc.
A couple options to consider:
1. Spend Friday night down south: book a room (or camp) in the Springfield / Eugene area. That'll put you in good shape for the morning of the 7th. An InterWeb search gives you plenty of options, or pick up the phone and call some friends.
2. Leave Portland real early -- ~6:45 a.m. -- and beeline it on I-5 to meet us at the start. You'll be down there before you know it.
Gray Area KTM (700 Q St, Springfield, OR 97477) will open their doors at 7:45 a.m. to host the ride start. We'll have coffee and donuts there for you. Brief riders' meeting at 8:30 a.m., and we'll roll out immediately after.
For now, simply plan to get out that day, and book your hotel / campsite / etc. for the night of the 6th.
We'll send a reminder email with additional details as the ride date gets closer (so sign up for our email list!)
Looking forward to riding with you!
